We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to lead technical and software development projects at GAINSCO. The Project Manager will champion Agile methodologies, collaborating internally and with third-party providers to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

What does a PROJECT MANGER I do at GAINSCO?

  • Lead technology teams, internal customers, and third-party providers to define project objectives, scope, budget, resource needs, and success criteria.
  • Translate business needs into project requirements and deliver detailed project plans.
  • Estimate effort and resources required, ensuring effective prioritization and timely delivery.
  • Track and report on project progress, milestones, and resource utilization.
  • Manage application development and technical teams, fostering self-organization and delivering quality working software.
  • Coach and mentor project teams on Agile Scrum principles and practices.
  • Ensure collaborative and efficient teamwork to deliver high-quality products consistently.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and documentation to ensure successful delivery.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and address impediments for Agile teams.
  • Collaborate with product owners to align priorities and ensure understanding of Agile frameworks.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within project teams.
  • Identify and implement best practices, tools, and methodologies for project governance and portfolio management.
What is required?

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Certifications:
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is required.
Experience:
  • Three or more years of experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager in software development.
  • Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum principles and methodologies'
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps for project planning and release management required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Azure DevOps, and adaptability to various platforms and tools.
  • Experience with Duck Creek Technologies insurance products or Guidewire claims management software is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Successful track record managing diverse teams across multiple projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • A willingness to work occasional weekends or extended hours as required.
