Overview:

As a Donor Communication and Online Giving Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating relationships with our donors and maximizing online giving opportunities. You will be responsible for crafting compelling communication strategies to engage donors and drive donations through various online platforms. Your creativity, strategic thinking, and attention to detail will be essential in effectively communicating our organization's mission and impact to our donor community. Key Responsibilities: Donor Communication Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to engage donors across various channels, including email, social media, and website content. Craft compelling narratives and stories that highlight the impact of donor contributions and demonstrate the importance of ongoing support. Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all donor communications. Online Giving Campaigns: Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to plan and execute online giving campaigns to coincide with key fundraising initiatives and events. Utilize data-driven insights to optimize campaign performance and maximize donor participation and retention. Monitor and analyze campaign metrics to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Donor Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with donors through personalized communication and stewardship efforts. Respond to donor inquiries in a timely and professional manner, providing excellent customer service and support. Identify opportunities to deepen donor engagement and enhance the donor experience. Donor Recognition and Acknowledgement: Implement strategies to recognize and acknowledge donors for their contributions and support. Coordinate the timely delivery of thank-you letters, receipts, and other acknowledgment materials to donors. Explore innovative ways to express gratitude and show appreciation for donor generosity. Online Giving Platform Management: Oversee the organization's online giving platforms, ensuring a user-friendly experience for donors. Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot any technical issues and optimize platform functionality. Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in online fundraising and donor engagement. Core Skills: Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills. Strong problem-solving, organizational and project management skills Familiarity with relational databases, Raisers Edge preferred. Excellent analytical skills, ability to generate reports, and build strategy to address donor acquisition and retention. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field. Proven experience in donor communication, fundraising, or online marketing, preferably within a nonprofit or fundraising environment. Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages that resonate with donors. Familiarity with online fundraising platforms and donor management systems. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire donors. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Passion for the mission and values of the organization. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Campaign Monitor, Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and CRM systems. Knowledge of digital marketing techniques, including social media marketing and SEO. Graphic design skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools. Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising regulations and compliance standards
