Banquet Cook Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Banquet Cook to join our team for on-demand culinary assignments in diverse event settings. Key Responsibilities (Varies by Business):
  • Prepare and cook food items according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, or numbers of portions to be served.
  • Work efficiently in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
  • Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all areas of food production.
  • Assist in the planning and development of menus, considering factors such as seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of guests.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
  • Respond to and accommodate special guest requests when possible.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a cook, preferably in banquet settings or high-volume catering.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Culinary school training or equivalent experience is preferred.
