As our Planning Engineer, you will get the opportunity to run power system analysis studies that help facilitate MISO's generation interconnection process. You will also be provided with opportunities to coordinate and interact with our interconnection customers and transmission owners, participate in process improvement initiatives, and project management, and take ownership of specific processes.
In one year as our Planning Engineer, you will know you are successful if you:
- Effectively administer simulations and technical analysis without day-to-day oversight
- Function as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of one of our study processes
- Prepare and deliver pertinent communication and data to our customers.
- Make meaningful contributions to what is already a highly functional team.
Our Planning Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology.
While it would be great if you had previous energy industry experience or were familiar with PSSE MUST and TARA, we are happy to train the right candidate on these areas.
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
