We are looking for a Senior EHS Manager to help us lead and direct the EH&S activities within the plant locations ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, applicable codes, and corporate policies about EH&S. As a Trex Senior EHS Manager, you will be looked to as an innovator in the manufacturing process and expected to develop, manage, and lead EHS programs to keep safety awareness high and deliver on the company's commitment that safety is the number one priority. Responsibilities: Put safety first - always. Lead and foster our "people first" culture. Audit safety procedures and processes to maintain compliance. Ensure all required inspections are current and all documentation is accurate. Manage industrial hygiene programs. Develop, manage, and lead environmental activities to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations. Develop, manage, and lead the Site Safety Committee, Emergency Response Team, and Industrial Fire Brigade. Manage and coordinate site insurance loss control and workers' compensation insurance providers. Support environmental, health, and safety activities at the corporate level including field sales and purchasing representatives. Prepare and manage the annual EHS budget. Maintain an active and effective sustainability and cost-savings program. Management: Manages a team of EHS Specialists and Coordinators. Responsible for a multi-building location with 1,000+ employees. EXPERIENCE We are looking for leaders with a bachelor's degree in physical sciences, engineering, or a related discipline plus 10+ years of EH&S experience with a minimum of 8 years in an EH&S management role in a complex 24/7/365 manufacturing environment OR 15 years of EH&S experience with a minimum of 10 years in an EH&S management role in a 24/7/365 manufacturing environment. If you have previous experience in industrial safety: OSHA, NIOSH, NFPA, EPA, rules, regulations, and compliance, we want to hear from you. Preferred: ASP/CSP/CIH/CHMM/ARM Experience on a multi-building site Environmental management: including air, water, and waste permits, testing, regulated waste disposal, and compliance.
