Senior Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant plays an integral role in preserving the financial credibility of the Company through the completion of the day-to-day accounting activities while maintaining a high rate of accuracy and vendor satisfaction through professional quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the cash receipt side of the accounting transactions, including cash receipts, bank reconciliation, billing, and collections
  • Manage customer records, including billing contact information, customer classification and price list
  • Validate/Maintain Customer information across systems, including Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, and IVAN (which is our house DIT Nurse workflow tracking system)
  • Work with the Controller to establish proper accounting processes and documentation around cash receipt activities
  • Assist the Controller with month end closing process
  • Develop financial/operational reports in accounting system to help with reconciliation, month close process, reporting efficiency and analytical works
  • Document interactions across systems (Sage Intacct, IVAN, and Salesforce) for billing and pricing changes
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting
  • One (1) - Three (3) years' experience in a Staff Accountant role is preferred
  • Two years of demonstrated full-cycle accounting experience
  • Two years of demonstrated experience of accounting principles and GL systems
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience with Sage System or Salesforce is a plus
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate most standard office equipment
  • Excellent telephone and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
