Job Description

Primary Function of Position

The Sr. Analyst, Ion Commercial FP&A will play a critical role in helping to fuel the growth of the ION® Commercial team by providing insights, scrutiny, and FP&A support. This role adapts quickly to business needs and offers financial insights for growth. It requires studying large data sets to find business insights, create forecasts, and guide better conclusions and investments.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Deliver on FP&A remit for the Ion organization. This includes monthly close, long-range planning, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Serve as the analytical and consultative lead and business partner for the Ion Marketing organization
  • Develop deep understanding of the lung cancer market to better assist commercial leaders in linking investment opportunities to key objectives
  • Identify key opportunities and risks within financial models
  • Develop tools and dashboards that enable our organization to more efficiently manage commercial activities and resources
  • Build accurate forecasting/budgeting tools and monitor performance relative to plan
  • Utilize SQL and Tableau to query SFDC and Finance databases to drive insights with a focus on marketing analytics and sales org efficiency
  • Develop exceptional relationships with key cross-functional partners
  • This role requires working onsite in our Sunnyvale, CA or Peachtree Corners, GA office on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday every week.
Qualifications

Core Competencies, Skills and Experience Requirements
  • Exceptional data-based, modeling, and forecasting ability
  • Keen understanding of core FP&A processes
  • Proficiency with dashboard/report creation and data visualization tools
  • High curiosity and aptitude for understanding trends, outliers, and causal relationships
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and oral communication with a dedicated customer orientation
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Tableau, and SQL (SAP and Hyperion preferred)
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of work experience in a highly data-based role
