Fundraising Event Manager

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofitcommitted to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living,and social responsibility. The FEM organizesevents and campaigns to raise money and other kinds of donations for the YMCAto increase awareness of the Y's work, goals, and financial needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Fundraising Strategy:
a. Planand Execute: Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising event planannually. This plan ensures the organization's events and campaigns provide financialresources for growth and sustainability for programs, membership, and the overallorganization.
b. Corporateand Individual Relations: Strengthen relationships with community stakeholders,actively pursue and manage corporate and individual leads, and foster strongdonor and sponsor stewardship to enhance events and campaigns (banner)
c. OrganizationalEvents: Plan and execute YMCA fundraising events.
2. Engagement:
a. PositiveImage: Develop strong relationships within the community to position theorganization as the local charity of choice for funding.
b. Networking:Act as the primary point of contact for funding, donations, and fundraisingevent inquiries.
c. StaffCollaboration: Coordinate a unified approachby aligning staff efforts with the fundraising event strategies.
3. Recognition/Reporting:
a. Reports: Provide monthly event/campaign reportsregarding fundraising areas of responsibility.
b. Recognition: Prompt Communication of gifts immediatelyupon receipt with personalization and significance of gift relayed. Collectvideo appreciation from the staff and/or participants sharing stories of theirimpact, etc.
4. DonorData Management:
a. Ensure all data regardingdonations and events are entered into software system accurately.
5. MajorEvents and Campaigns:
a. South Collier Gala; NorthCampus Sneaker Ball; Tour De Marco; Golf Tournament; Mutts and Margaritas, and othercommunity fundraising events that benefit the Y.
b. Corporate Sponsorship(Banner) Project.
6. Otherduties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachprimary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representativeof the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
1. Bachelor's degree in development, nonprofitadmin., business administration, communication. Ability to work well as amember of a team.
2. Proven track record and significantexperience in nonprofit fundraising and Knowledge of fundraising techniques,finances and budgeting for nonprofits
3. Must be able to take initiative andmaintain good communications with staff, donors, and organizational colleagues.
4. Ability to promote YMCA and favorablyrepresent the organizations to philanthropic and other partners.
5. Proven track record with donordevelopment
6. Experience in managing development personnel.
