Position Overview:

The Functional Sage Financial Systems Analyst will be responsible for managing and optimizing the functional aspects of our Sage Financial Systems. This role focuses on ensuring that Sage Financial Systems effectively meet business needs, streamline financial processes, and support the overall financial strategy of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Sage Financial Systems with a focus on functional requirements and optimization.
  • Configure and customize Sage modules to align with business processes and needs.
  • Ensure that Sage Financial Systems are effectively integrated with other business systems and applications.
  • Analyze financial processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement within Sage Financial Systems.
  • Develop and implement solutions to enhance system functionality and streamline financial operations.
  • Work closely with finance and accounting teams to understand their needs and translate them into system requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for functional issues and queries related to Sage Financial Systems.
  • Provide functional expertise and support to users, including troubleshooting issues and offering solutions.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and changes to ensure effective knowledge transfer and continuity.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users to ensure effective use of Sage Financial Systems.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations by providing functional insights and requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to manage project timelines, deliverables, and outcomes.
  • Ensure that Sage Financial Systems and processes comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Stay updated with Sage system updates and new functionalities to recommend improvements and ensure optimal use.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, Sage certifications) are a plus.
  • Proven experience working with Sage Financial Systems, with a strong focus on functional aspects and process optimization.
  • Deep understanding of financial processes and how they are supported by Sage Financial Systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into system requirements.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in providing user support, training, and documentation for financial systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while maintaining attention to detail.
