Account Director, Media

The purpose of this role is to be a client leader in the Dynata Ad Solutions division. The Ad Solutions group provides integrated ad effectiveness and cross media solutions to Dynata clients. The division combines Dynata panel survey data with cross-screen measurement tools to provide a unified and comprehensive view of the consumer and the effectiveness of advertising on all platforms.

Dynata is well known in the research industry with over 3,000 global clients. Being a Account Director in the Dynata Ad Solutions division represents an opportunity to sell novel and differentiated products to our client partners that span media publishers, large corporate brands, and advertising agencies across the United States and globally. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, intellectually curious, a thoughtful and pragmatic problem-solver that can champion the needs of our esteemed clients and has an innate ability to work cross-functionally with an array of internal and external constituents.

The ideal candidate will come with sales experience in fields like marketing science, analytics, strategic insights, or business intelligence.

What You'll Do as a Account Director

  • Master Dynata products, services, pricing, and how to apply these to satisfy client needs and fulfill project requirements
  • Leverage data to analyze, plan and forecast assigned accounts.
  • Manage assigned accounts, utilizes knowledge to support the customer with Dynata products
  • Seek competitive insights and intelligence to inform the company of challenges and opportunities in the marketplace
  • Conducts discovery calls with decision makers and influencers
  • Qualify accounts to determine fit for the business and effective use of company resources
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to achieve successful client interactions and project outcomes
  • Work closely with Sales leadership to ensure account strategy is aligned with company goals and objectives
Essential Skills
  • Proven ability to deliver consistent results against financial targets over an extended period of time.
  • Ability to quickly manage a pipeline
  • Knowledge and sales experience with measurement products and services including DAR, vCE, and brand lift studies.
  • Hands-on approach - not afraid to maneuver through all aspects of the business (sales, strategy, ops, marketing, product development, recruitment etc.)
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft office tools and ability to master other needed business tools e.g., Maconomy, SPSS, Survey Reporter).
How To Be Successful in the Role
  • A flair for nurturing and building relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Experience working with a CRM (e.g., salesforce or BOS), and web conferencing software (GoToMeeting or WebEx)
  • 4 years of B2B sales experience
  • Able to distill and communicate complex solutions
  • Strong understanding of market research and consumer privacy issues

The base salary range for this position is $100K - $125K. The base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A discretionary incentive program may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and other benefits, dependent on full-time employment status.
