Overview Of The Role
Reporting to Director, Sales Operations, the Sales Analytics Manager, will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making within the sales department.
Primary responsibility will be to gather, analyze, and interpret sales data to provide proactive and valuable insights that will optimize our sales strategies and enhance overall business performance.
Working alongside the wider Sales Operations team, this person will implement reporting, analytics & data tools and give help on needed changes to CRM to support territory planning and performance.
Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to analyze sales data and derive actionable insights.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to the sales leadership team.
Sales Forecasting
Collaborate with sales teams to understand market trends, customer behavior, and other factors influencing sales performance.
Develop accurate and reliable sales forecasts to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
Performance Metrics Monitoring
Monitor and evaluate sales team performance against established targets.
Identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations to enhance sales efficiency and effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment of sales analytics with overall business objectives.
Collaborate with IT teams to enhance data quality and accessibility.
Persona Background
Strong Operator with high attention to detail
Likely from a tech company or related field as Dynata, has 3-5 years experience leading territory planning, CRM data processes, reporting, compensation alignment, and process improvement initiatives
Previous Sales Ops role in more established environments and able to bring a fresh perspective to help challenge the current status quo.
Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics + Dynamics 365 CRM is a plus
Previous experience handling data analysis for territory creation and ICP analysis
This person could be from a start-up environment / enterprise they need to be sound in ability to create strong sales motions with data and CRM configurations
Critical Skills + Competencies:
Proven experience in sales analytics, data analysis, or a related role.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis tools.
Able to coordinate deeply with Sales leaders, Finance and Marketing on alignment around top accounts
Competency with how territory assignment and data allocation decisions are made in a large org, plus how sales planning and capacity planning impacts targets
Strong understanding of sales process and using technology to enforce a system of connected data analysis and territory assignment to create iterative growth

The salary range for this position in is $100K-$115K/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A discretionary incentive program may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and other benefits, dependent on full-time status.
