Overview

Middleton Meyers Residential, LLC is searching for an experienced Sr. Accountant to perform full cycle accounting including accounts payable, journal entries, monthly accruals, and reconciliations. This position is responsible for the preparation of month-end reporting packages, preparation of work papers and reconciliations for year-end tax returns and auditors, and the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts.

The Sr. Accountant must be highly-skilled at full cycle property management and development accounting, professional, and energetic. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate well at all levels, the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adhere to deadlines.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform full cycle accounting including but not limited to job cost, accounts payable, journal entries, and accruals.
  • Maintain and review sub-ledgers for accuracy.
  • Prepare month-end reconciliations, work papers, and reporting packages.
  • Review and analyze variances.
  • Prepare work papers and reconciliations for year-end tax returns and audits.
  • Prepare annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain Vendor Credentialing requirements and ensure all vendors remain compliant.Maintain AP records and review vendor/service provider agreements.
  • Audit invoices for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure payment credits are applied correctly.
  • Manage and review junior staff.
Education and Experience Required:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or other related field of study
  • Enthusiasm for property management accounting and have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • At least 5-7 years' experience in full cycle accounting or 3-5 years' construction or development accounting
  • Must display a cohesive ability to be detail oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Must be able to engage with staff at all levels of the organization and exercise sound judgement
  • Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word skills
