Responsibilities:
• Oversee the month-end close process for 2-3 entities, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reported • Maintain the general ledger for each entity, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely • Analyze and manage costs related to materials and labor, providing insights and recommendations to leadership as needed • Conduct budget variance analysis regularly, identifying any discrepancies and providing explanations for variances • Analyze expenses and conduct detailed cost analysis to support strategic decision making • Manage fixed assets, prepaids, and accruals, ensuring these are accurately accounted for in financial statements • Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze large datasets, creating reports and presentations as required • Collaborate with other teams and departments to gather necessary data and information for accounting processes • Continually review and improve accounting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy • Provide support to leadership by taking on day-to-day accounting tasks, allowing them to focus on strategic initiatives.• Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Must have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
• Proven knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with accounting software is a plus.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
