Job Description Description: TMG Operating LLC is a management company, located in Carmel, Indiana, for multiple service companies located primarily in West Texas. We are a leader in technology, developing cutting-edge sensor, and automation control systems that help to reduce costs and increase safety in our clients' operations. Our operations are rapidly expanding to include innovative technologies and automation in the Oil industry. The original company began in 2008, and initially manufactured original equipment for various industries. Beginning in 2016, our business changed its paradigm to focus on providing services in the Oil & Gas Industry.

We are seeking a dynamic candidate for the role of Director of Finance. The Finance Director is responsible for the finance and accounting for all our business divisions and our corporate headquarters. The right candidate will have a well balanced background in both finance and accounting. The Senior Accountant will help prepare financial reports to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

The Director of Finance will provide accounting and financial control work for the Finance Department. Manage the finance and accounting team.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages and oversees accounting functions. Supervises and schedules staff in organization support operations. Staffing decisions in the Finance Department. Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department. Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities: Maintains full integrity of all revenues, ensuring organization policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations, are followed. Oversees capital assets projects, ensuring organizations goals are being met. Compiles fiscal estimates and prepares fiscal reports as requested. Ensures compliance with accounting procedures through observation, supervision, and testing. Develops procedures that ensure collections are complete and current. Oversees general accounting department systems, policies, practices, and procedures. Directs preparation of required financial reports. Improves and implements financial controls, ensuring accurate control and accounting of assets and accounts. Assists auditors, gathering and providing information and documents needed for inquiries. Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including but not limited to tax laws, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and cost accounting standards (CAS). Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in the accounting profession; applies this knowledge to recommend and implement process and policy changes. Performs other related duties as requested.

Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent managerial skills and ability to evaluate the work of others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Working knowledge of organizations applicable financial practices and procedures, as well as a thorough understanding of state and federal rules and regulations. Proficient with accounting software and standard office and accounting equipment. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. CPA designation highly preferred. Five years of management experience in finance with a similar organization or with a major CPA firm. At least five years of general accounting experience with at least two as a manager of an accounting department required.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
