We are looking for a self-motivated Cyber Security Specialist with excellent attention to detail and exceptional documentation and organizational skills. Position Summary: Oversees the Cooperative's cybersecurity resources and tools. Responsible for the configuration and management of network-wide intrusion detection and prevention solutions. Coordinates with 24/7 network and log-file monitoring firm to ensure consistent and persistent oversight over the Cooperative's IT infrastructure and ensures all systems' logs are being monitored. Administers end-user security-related software such as Website Filtering, Email Filtering, & Intrusion Prevention software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Observes CEMC safety rules, procedures, safety policies, and bulletins.
2. Administers the Cooperative's Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) software and coordinates with the provider's 24/7 monitoring team to ensure adequate oversight is in place.
3. Administers the Cooperative's Intrusion Detection and Prevention software.
4. Administers the Cooperative's Vulernability Management Software to ensure that necessary patches are being identified and applied in a timely manner.
5. Works closely with the System Administrator to ensure systems are secure, compliant, and optimized, while also taking on system administration projects independently as needed, contributing to the overall management and stability of the Cooperative's IT infrastructure.
6. Collaborates with the Network Engineer to ensure the network security posture adheres to industry- standard best practices, including identifying and recommending improvements for network security measures.
7. Assists in overseeing security settings and policies across the Cooperative's IT infrastructure, including Azure cloud, Microsoft 365 services, and core operational systems, ensuring all environments maintain security integrity and adhere to best practices.
8. Responsible for companywide Cyber Security Awareness training by using simulated phishing email campaigns, training modules and all employee training courses to help educate employees.
9. Responsible for configuring and managing Website Filtering and Email Filtering solutions.
10. Responsible for the annual budget and purchasing of necessary cybersecurity tools and services.
11. Reports any network use that might be deemed in violation of company policy to the Supervisor of Information Technology.
12. Assists with special projects as directed by the Supervisor of Information Technology.
13. Provides back-up assistance to other IT team members in all areas of installation, configuration, maintenance and support of the network and end-user systems.

Cooperative vehicle, desktop & laptop computers, mobile devices, smartphones, fax, copier, switches, routers, hubs, servers, Ethernet cable management, racks, Storage Area Networks (SAN), Firewalls, power meters, wire crimpers, Ethernet punch down tools, etc.
Software & Technology Used:
Microsoft Operating Systems and all Office Suite products, smartphones and tablets, IOS operating system, Microsoft Office 365 products and services, System diagnostic software packages, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, VoIP, FoIP, Veeam, VCenter, Cisco Umbrella, Rapid7, Carbon Black, Solarwinds, Trend Micro Tipping Point, Barracuda, patch management and systems management software.
Education Degrees, Certificates, Licenses, and/or Training: Exceptional favorable experience may be considered for a portion of the education requirements.
Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
Valid Driver's License.
Additional continuing education or training in fields related to Information Technology.
Preferred: Associates or Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology-related field.
Certifications: CISSP, CISA, ComptTIA Security+, or other applicable certifications.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Exceptional favorable education may be considered for a portion of the experience requirements.
Required:
•Minimum of five years of Information Technology technical support in a corporate network environment.
•Proficient technical skills in current Windows and IOS operating systems.
•Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office 365 products and services.
•Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server and Active Directory.
•Knowledge of VMware / Vcenter / and Failover Clustering.
•Knowledge of installing and managing Windows Servers.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•Demonstrated desire to grow technically and keep up with changing technology.
•Knowledge of policies, procedures, and operating bulletins applicable to Cooperative's information technology.
•Knowledge of applicable software and equipment. Ability to provide support of Microsoft Office applications to include Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
•Ability to analyze and resolve problem areas quickly and make timely decisions.
•Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both orally and in writing.
•Ability to work independently, and in a team environment to organize and prioritize work and manage time effectively.
•Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment to include IT Storage and Test rooms.
•Ability to work with Cooperative employees, at various levels.

Visual Acuity, manual dexterity, hearing, standing, walking, sitting, stooping, bending, squatting, lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, twisting, balancing, kneeling, crouching and climbing.
Working Conditions:
Minimum of eight hours a day, five days a week.
Subject to on-call schedule as conditions arise.
Primarily works within office environment with frequent interruptions.
Occasionally travels to all district offices.
