Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our team at F. Schumacher & Co. This internship offers an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of finance within a luxury brand. The Accounting Intern will work closely with our accounting team, assisting in day-to-day financial operations and contributing to strategic financial initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:
•Assist in financial data entry, analysis, and reporting.
•Conduct general ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct errors.
•Compile and record journal entries accurately, adhering to accounting standards and company guidelines.
•Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
•Aid in the month-end close process by preparing schedules and assisting with financial reporting.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects as needed.
•Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures.
•Provide administrative support to the finance department as required.
•System implementation

Hourly Pay Rate: $16 Hour

Job Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Prior internship or relevant work experience in finance is a plus.
