Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to develop and update our information systems and technology.
  • Analyze workflow changes and their impact on business goals, objectives and systems.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide guidance to internal and external clients regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs.
  • Develop and communicate detailed specifications for implementation.
  • Produce reports, timelines, and graphics to communicate expectations and progress to management, customers, investors, and other relevant parties.
  • Ensure proper documentation and testing of system modifications.
  • Researches and analyzes the nature, effect, and results of system difficulties.
  • Satisfies data sampling, project analysis, testing verification, and other user requests from existing client databases.
  • Maintains current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices through industry and other professional networks.
  • Creates, develops, provides, or coordinates system training, materials, and other educational tools.
  • Maintains the organizations information technology in a way that facilitates productivity and efficiency.
  • Provides technical service and support to internal users which may include maintaining hardware and software and providing training.
  • Identifies hardware, equipment, and software needs for the organizations information systems; recommends and facilitates upgrades and replacements.
  • Oversees and facilitates the installation and maintenance of new equipment, systems, hardware, and software.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in technology, alerting the Executive Leadership Team of the effects of widespread equipment, network, and other revisions, changes, and discontinuations will have on the organization and related operations.
  • Coordinates and schedules large-scale equipment and network installations.
  • Ensures that projects and tasks are completed within specifications, on time, and within budget.
  • Implement annual Strategic Planning initiatives, as assigned.
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate cyber security measures.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage IT resources, including employees, consultants, and/or third-party vendors.
  • Hire and train IT team members.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT Department
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and workload of IT team members.
  • Facilitate performance management and professional development for IT team members.
  • Member of Agencys Disaster Recovery Team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science required; with advanced training in operations management preferred
  • Experience in Project Management; Project Management Certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience managing employees.
  • Strong knowledge of independent agency system(s) preferred
  • Experience in development and implementation of employee training for IT systems
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning, or agency management system, implementation preferred.
  • Excellent management skills with the ability to lead, facilitate, motivate, and organize.
  • Thorough understanding of business computing technology, software, and hardware.
  • Proficient with or able to quickly learn the software and applications used in the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
