SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position works under supervision of the Senior Weld Engineer and is considered entry to intermediate level. Learns to apply knowledge to non-routine situations, seeking guidance when needed. This is a Night Shift position, from 6:30 PM – 5:00 AM.

Assisting the automated and manual weld processes

Assist in continuously improving welding operations through process evaluation and research into new technologies

Support project engineering on new and existing programs

Assist in specifying welding equipment, welding consumables, electrical and mechanical systems, robotic systems, and any related components associated with the welding process

Assist in evaluation processes and procedures to maintain or improve weld parameters and weld efficiency

Assist in development of the weld quality control process

Assist in designing, developing, and testing welding methods, materials, processes, and results

Strong interpersonal skills required for effective communication and coordination with all departments and customers

Interface with all facility departments to assist in resolving welding process issues

Follow OSHA Guidelines and promote safe work environment within the weld engineering team
