What we need

Symbotic is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to join the BOT Hardware team to drive the execution of our robotic automation warehouse systems from concept to mass production. As a critical member of our team, you will collaborate closely with engineering, quality, implementation, manufacturing, and strategic partner teams to ensure flawless project delivery. You will lead and inspire cross-functional teams to bring groundbreaking products to market with exceptional reliability. Your ability to navigate complex challenges, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results on time and within budget will be instrumental to our success.

What you'll do
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project deliverables, metrics, and overcome obstacles.
  • Execute projects efficiently and effectively, adhering to project management best practices and tools.
  • Achieve or exceed project KPIs and requirements by the mass production/build start date.
  • Provide technical expertise from concept validation to production sign-off, identifying and implementing solutions to challenges.
  • Build and manage high-performing teams, escalating issues and providing regular feedback.
  • Track and manage cross-functional issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Partner with strategic partners to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Demonstrate a can-do, outcome-oriented mindset and a relentless pursuit of improvement.
  • Adapt quickly to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Effectively communicate project challenges and solutions to diverse teams and executive leadership.
  • Represent Symbotic to customers, fostering strong relationships and addressing roadblocks.
What you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of project management expertise in large-scale, complex, cross-functional programs involving hardware, software, and controls.
  • Proven experience with agile development methodologies and industry standard tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship building, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in JIRA, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Word, and Visio.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
  • Experience with metrics and data analysis for process improvement.
  • Collaborative team player with a passion for motivation and inspiration.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills.
  • Industrial/robotic automation experience preferred.
  • PMP Certification a plus.
