Description

The Mortgage Administrator supports the mortgage lending process by assisting with loan origination, processing, and closing in compliance with Kalsee's established policies and procedures. This role ensures smooth and efficient operations while upholding Kalsee's professional standards. In addition to collaborating with the Mortgage Lending Manager on various tasks, the Mortgage Administrator actively contributes to achieving departmental goals and promoting Kalsee's sales and service culture.

OPERATIONS

  • Provide point of contact for members regarding initial inquiries and providing information about the loan process.
  • Assist with document collection from members for all "in process" and "approval process" applications.
  • Input customer information into loan origination system and monitor processing and regulatory guidelines.
  • Act as liaison between loan originator, processors, and underwriters to advance loans through approval process.
  • Address and clear underwriting conditions on loans in process.
  • Act as "back-up" when Mortgage Lender requires assistance.
QUALITY
  • Set high standards for quality improvements and place priority on efforts to improve department processes
COMPLIANCE
  • Review all activities for compliance with established policies procedures and regulations. Regulations include but are not limited to: Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and Real Estate Settlement and Procedures Act (RESPA)
  • Properly approve/deny loans in compliance with Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA)
  • Obtain and Maintain SAFE Act Registration and Continuing Education requirements
  • Participate in annual training as required by the BSA/OFAC Compliance Officer

Requirements
  • HS Diploma / GED Required
  • 2 years of Financial Institution experience required, lending experience preferred
  • Excellent member service and communication skills
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Driven to succeed
  • Possess a coachable spirit
  • Must be organized and able to manage a high level of loan activity
  • Must present a professional image and be a proper representative of KALSEE within the community
