Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and processes purchase orders.
  • Maintains and records goods orders and received.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
  • Evaluates vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price; negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers.
  • Schedules deliveries and ensures timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services every 6 months.
  • Coordinates with site leadership to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
  • Ensures quality of procured items and addresses problems as they arise.
  • Travels to vendor locations as necessary.
  • Stays current with purchasing technology and oversees purchase and implementation as necessary.
  • Participates in SOW meetings to determine supply needs.
  • Forecasts potential delivery delays and develops alternative plans.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ethical and professional demeanor when dealing with vendors, co-workers, and customers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Three years of relevant experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to accurately exchange information with co-workers, management, customers, and vendors.
  • Occasionally moves files and boxes of records weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as copiers, printers, and telephones.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 90% of the time.
