This role will have close commercial involvement across all brands and regions within GPN Americas, with primary focus on customer deductions. The role will maintain full ownership of the deduction process related to GPN’s North America brands. This person will oversee a team responsible for the auditing and clearing of all deduction activity. This team will audit deductions to ensure accuracy, and will identify, dispute, and recover invalid deductions taken through communications with the commercial team and external customer contacts. This person will be responsible for complete tracking of accurate sub-ledgers of projected and actualized trade spend to ensure spend is accurately recorded, in line with GPN’s accounting policies. In addition, this person will assist in implementation of TPM software with a strong focus on internal change management. The Finance Manager- Deductions reports directly to the Sr. Manager Finance – Trade. Complete tracking and maintaining of accurate and up-to-date sub ledgers of actualized deductions to ensure trade spend is accurately recorded, in line with GPN’s accounting policies, and analyzed against budgeted/forecasted costs Ensuring all material deductions (both promotional, fixed, and OS&D), are valid based on sufficient auditing. For deductions deemed not valid, the Manger is responsible for disputing invalid deductions and tracking all invalid deductions to ensure recovery Reporting trade spend through consistent communication to interested parties such as customer sales teams, GPN’s finance and accounting group, and GPN management Ensure customer sales teams are up-to-date on their actualized and forecasted trade spend rate and aware of variances vs. budgeted/forecasted trade rates Ensure accurate cash application of deductions and accurate deduction clearing through working closely with internal sales teams and Glanbia Share Services Manage team of direct reports, overseeing auditing and processing of all deductions while monitoring and reporting on relevant metrics Be a key contributor in the implementation of new TPM and sales planning system with a key focus on internal change management, specifically relating to the deductions team Create process documents to aid in new hire onboarding and enhance training capabilities Lead and develop team of 4-5 analysts to realize long and short term career advancement Work closely with commercial team to deliver corporate goals Perform in-depth analysis of deductions received such as trending, forecasting, and SKU level grouping Proactively identify trends and assist in implementing processes to continuously improve accuracy and efficiency of deductions and to prevent invalid deductions Provide ad hoc deduction and trade spend reporting and analysis The Skills you will bring to the team BA Accounting/Finance Degree or related field MBA and/or CPA/CA is a plus Advanced skills in Excel (Required) Ability to facilitate meetings, drive results, and implement change Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP and Business Objects Able to work independently and strong analytical skills (problem solving, evaluation, and judgment) Strong organizational skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail Must be able to workin a fast pace environment, and adapt to changes in the company Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Five years of experience working in Corporate Finance and/or Accounting preferred Demonstrated experience managing team of direct reports Bilingual is a plus (Spanish/English) If you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please apply Where and how you will work The opportunity will be based in
