This position is looking for someone who is able to work fully onsite in Titusville, FL. This position is looking for someone who is a seasoned mechanical engineer with strong panel layout drawing experience experience. The max compensation for this position is roughly $120k/yr and this is a direct hire full-time position.Specific Responsibilities:Create control/power equipment panel layout drawings and control/power enclosure assembly drawings using 3D modeling softwareDevelops current and forecast weight, balance, and mass properties dataParticipates in defining weight, balance, and mass properties related design requirementsParticipates in developing customer specification requirementsSupport individual design team weight control effortsEstimates, calculates, and measures, and verifies mass, weight, stiffness, and inertias of components, assemblies, and completed vehicles or systemsParticipates in developing and maintaining weight, balance, and mass properties accounting systems. Generates weight and balance reports.Participates in developing and implementing new processes and toolsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering. Not required if experience is in excess of 10 yearsExperience with CAD and CAE 3D modeling software (Solidworks or OnShape preferred)Experience estimating mass properties from drawings, CAD models, and mass property manualsCAD modeling experience, preferably CATIAGood communications and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a multidisciplinary team environmentExperience with space rated systems is a plus
