Job DescriptionJob Description

This position is looking for someone who is able to work fully onsite in Titusville, FL. This position is looking for someone who is a seasoned mechanical engineer with strong panel layout drawing experience experience. The max compensation for this position is roughly $120k/yr and this is a direct hire full-time position.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Create control/power equipment panel layout drawings and control/power enclosure assembly drawings using 3D modeling software
  • Develops current and forecast weight, balance, and mass properties data
  • Participates in defining weight, balance, and mass properties related design requirements
  • Participates in developing customer specification requirements
  • Support individual design team weight control efforts
  • Estimates, calculates, and measures, and verifies mass, weight, stiffness, and inertias of components, assemblies, and completed vehicles or systems
  • Participates in developing and maintaining weight, balance, and mass properties accounting systems. Generates weight and balance reports.
  • Participates in developing and implementing new processes and tools

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering. Not required if experience is in excess of 10 years
  • Experience with CAD and CAE 3D modeling software (Solidworks or OnShape preferred)
  • Experience estimating mass properties from drawings, CAD models, and mass property manuals
  • CAD modeling experience, preferably CATIA
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Experience with space rated systems is a plus
