Senior Cloud Automation Engineer

What does a successful Senior Cloud Automation Engineer do at Fiserv?

You will be the automation expert on the cloud infrastructure team focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining automated solutions for cloud-based infrastructure and platforms. You will be working with multiple platform engineering and technical delivery teams to build capabilities and service specific controls that enable our application teams to safely use cloud services to deliver world class applications to Fiserv customers.

What you will do:

Design and develop automated solutions (via API and Self-service) for cloud-based infrastructure and controls

Create scripts and code to provision, configure, and manage cloud resources and guardrails

Work with infrastructure engineers to design and build a cloud foundation that technical delivery teams can build on top of to be more efficient

Assist with the automation of key areas related to cloud including IAM, Hybrid DNS, logging, networking, and governance

Partner with developers, operations, and app teams to ensure cloud-based infrastructure solutions align with organizational goals

Ensure that changes are tested, approved, and deployed in an automated and secure manner

Collaborate with cyber security and compliance teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance requirements are met, as well as assist with the remediation of security findings

What you will need to have:

5+ years of experience with programming/scripting languages such as Python and Powershell

5+ years of experience with source control (Git) and CI/CD pipeline technologies

2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)

2+ years of experience in cloud automation technologies, including cloud infrastructure as code, containerization, and orchestration

1+ years of experience with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions) and APIs

Bachelors degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

What would be great to have:

Experience building cloud solutions through the console and using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Google Deployment Manager, and AWS CloudFormation

Solid understanding of basic internet principles such as HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, Networking, Load Balancing, etc

Industry certifications a plus (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert)

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other team members

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New York or Washington.
