The Commercial Portfolio Manager will manage a portfolio of existing commercial banking customer relationships as assigned by the Select Market team leader or department manager.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Team Manager or Department Manager to support the credit administration needs of that Manager's customer portfolio as well as interview customers to develop information concerning their business, financial condition, and operating performance, as well as to evaluate financing needs.
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring the effective and efficient underwriting of commercial loans in alignment with the Bank's risk tolerance.
  • Underwriting the Bank's most challenging and complex commercial exposure and may also join on prospect/customer calls with the lending team.
  • The work experience and training of the individual would dictate the complexity of the customer relationships managed, any credit authority extended, and the designation of the Portfolio Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business-related field but will accept equivalent experience in retail and commercial banking divisions.
  • Must have at least 4-5 years of relevant banking experience.
  • Must have strong knowledge of commercial and deposit products.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to thoroughly interpret financial data and use sound business judgment.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent listening ability and presentation skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Korean is preferred.
