Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic individual to build our banquet events business at our Georgetown location through community involvement, passion for hospitality, and a knack for selling. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales position with demonstrable results, preferably in the world of food, beverage, and hospitality, but all experience will be considered. As the sales manager, you are responsible for prospecting, negotiating, and closing banquet events for our restaurant. Our onsite event manager will act as the restaurant/day-of counterpart for this role. As we are new to the Georgetown community, the scope of this work will prioritize the prospective aspect of sales. Those without direct experience in prospecting and sourcing sales will not be considered. Preference will be given to locals who have an existing network in Georgetown. Daily activities and responsibilities evolve and change based on the needs of the business, but the core responsibilities are as follows: Business Building: Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses and sub-communities in Georgetown and surrounding areas. Identify opportunities for Juliet to host events that will assist in building strong community ties and growing the business. Devote time in the field to introduce yourself and Juliet to the community and engage prospective clients. Draft and execute contracts with clients and build BEOs to client specifications for successful execution. Work with our in-house event coordinator and store leaders to ensure all necessary information is communicated and events satisfy the clients’ wishes. Service: Uphold company standards and practices in accordance with the Handbook, Service Standards, and Core Values of Juliet Italian Kitchen at all times. Be present and onsite on the day of the event to hand off execution to the operations team. Learn the workflow and the system operations of our restaurant to better understand the nature of events at Juliet. Familiarize yourself with the banquet menu to help clients decide on the best variety of options for their event. Respond to inquiries in a timely manner. Address guest concerns promptly. Support the event coordinator in the execution of the event as necessary. Delegate priorities to team members and managers as needed. Mastery of our event management software to streamline communications and planning between the client and the operations team. Generate invoices, collect deposits, convert prospective leads to definite events, and close out BEOs. Financial: The sales manager is responsible for prospecting clients and generating new business for the restaurant. Devise pricing strategy for food & beverage minimums and room rental fees while negotiating favorable contracts for the restaurant. Handle all client inquiries and concerns up to and including the day of the event.
