Job Summary
Responsible for realizing strategy, optimizing performance, or solving business problems with solutions that are aligned with the strategic goals of the Memorial Hermann Health System. Associate Consultants contribute to the planning, direction, and coordination of large to medium strategic initiatives and projects in various functional areas within or across several locations. May assist Consultants or Senior Consultants or manage projects independently. Typically reports to the Director of the Value Management Office (VMO).Job Description
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or comparable combined education and experience.
Licenses/Certifications: None
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
- Two (2) years of consulting or project management experience in healthcare preferred.
- Demonstrated collaboration, process improvement, project management, and problem-solving.
- Critical thinking skills; ability to develop solutions that address client needs.
- Concise communicator who thinks well on their feet and tailors communication to audience.
- Genuine passion for and commitment to adding value to the patient experience.

- Collects information about the client's operations through a variety of methods (shadowing, interviews, surveys, analyzing reports etc.).

- Assumes responsibility for the success of assigned work streams or projects.
- Coordinates with work teams to prevent, identity, and resolve barriers to project completion.
- Moves toward solution despite aggressive schedules and discouraging developments.
- Draws upon healthcare knowledge, trends, and experiences to identify and mitigate risk.
- Provides thoughtful, timely, and specific feedback to team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to earn trust and respect from team members and stakeholders.
- Promotes individual professional growth and team development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and sharing industry and project based knowledge.
- Supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization.
- Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
