Ullico Inc. is actively recruiting a Life Claims Examiner within the Group Life and Health Department of Union Labor Life Insurance Company located in our Silver Spring, MD office.
The Life Claims Examiner will perform the following duties:
Process Life and AD&D claims using automated claims system.
Handle routine telephone and written inquires as required to maintain good relationships with clients. Telephone call, internal and/or external, may be recorded and retained electronically, specific to the departments scope of services.
Bring claims to satisfactory conclusion to include verifying eligibility using various source documents, initiating written and/or telephone inquiries to clients, and to the final stage of releasing claims' benefit payments
Perform other job-related duties that may be occasionally assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
18 months administrative, customer service, claims or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
Must successfully demonstrate ability to meet or exceed productivity and quality standards set by department.
Experience with applicable software packages, specifically Microsoft office applications is required.
Attention to detail.
Must successfully demonstrate ability to meet or exceed productivity and quality standards set by department.
Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills.
Team Oriented.
