A passion for healthcare and is a strong storyteller with a proven-track record of driving top-tier media placements, creating compelling internal and external content, managing issues, and developing medical technology PR programs. Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple projects across a matrixed organization and work collaboratively with global communications colleagues, corporate functions and other PR teams/agencies. This individual will serve as a company spokesperson and a strategic counselor to senior executives. **Responsibilities** + Work with key executives to create a foundational Cordis story and align key communication tools and channels. + Own corporate communications planning and calendar, including PR, social media and other aligned communications. + Collaborate with cross-functional team members to create content to inform and complement key PR campaigns. + Leverage breadth of media channel opportunities including paid, earned, social and owned media. + Manage inbound media inquiries and align stakeholders on external / media relations strategies. Build and maintain close relationships with target media outlets to drive positive coverage and ensure accuracy in reporting. + Produce meaningful content across channels including articles, social media, website content, videos, infographics, etc. + Support external executive communications including presentations, talking points, social media posts and long-form content. + Track overall Medical Device Industry and identify events that might impact Cordis’ communication strategy. + Define media relations and sponsored content scope of work and provide clear direction, ongoing feedback and ensure budget alignment with paid, agency and freelance partners. + Collaborate with various stakeholders including executives, R&D, CordisX and Commercial teams. + Coach senior executives and spokespeople on delivery of key messages. + Set metrics to measure communications effectiveness. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications** + Must have working experience related to Medical devices, Medical technology, Pharmaceuticals or Biotechnology industry + Must have 5-7 years communications experience with aglobal focusrelated to Healthcare + Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, English or another relevant area of study. + Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills. In-depth understanding of target audience and expertise in high-impact messaging to broad audiences. Ability to articulate complex information in simple and relatable terms. + Experience developing and managing high impact, multi-channel integrated communication strategies and plans in a regulated environment. + Proven and respected communications consultant with strong judgement and executive presence; experience working with and counseling at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership. + Ability to achieve results while balancing competing priorities, dealing with ambiguity, discretion; demonstrated success at working under deadlines with tight timeframes. **Preferred Qualifications** + Excellent project management, organizational, planning and time management skills. + Strong contacts and working relationships with a variety of top-tier media.
