Job Summary:
The Manager of Business Development is responsible for developing and implementing growth strategies, identifying new market opportunities, and building and maintaining solid relationships with clients and partners. The Manager of business Development is also responsible for keeping up with market trends and data to ensure they are fully prepared to assist partners in purchasing additional inventory.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
Recruit, hire and train the business development team.
Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
Holds regular team meetings and individual meetings to track performance and provide guidance for department members.
Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Responsible for the Human Resources management interactions with the team, as defined under the HR structure of the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our client base.
Help develop, communicate, monitor, and update departmental and individual KPIs
Create, implement, and control standards and processes to ensure a seamless operation.
Monitor customer engagement and satisfaction and promptly take corrective actions.
Promote excellent working relationships with partners based on a thorough understanding of their needs and goals.
Prepare, analyze, and present reports on business development activities, revenue forecasts, and market analysis to senior management.
Oversee the application, vetting, and onboarding process of new accounts.
Audit accounts for accuracy and find opportunities for better partner pricing and KPIs.
Audit accounts for compliance with legal requirements relative to current insurance and licenses required by state laws.
Monitor industry trends for new competitors, market demand, and potential partners.
Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify new business opportunities and threats.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns.
Ensure the business development team adheres to company policies and maintains high ethical standards.
Travels and attends approved events.
Required Language(s) and Skills/Abilities:
Excellent business acumen.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening.
Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding organization and time management.
Comfortable in a fast-paced or high-pressure environment.
Fluent in English and Spanish required.
Excellent sales skills.
Understanding of budget management and financial monitoring.
Education and Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of business development or account management experience, preferably within the automotive industry.
Strong MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
At least two years of sales experience.
Experience in customer service and customer loyalty and satisfaction.
Knowledge of the automotive industry is a plus.
