We cater logistics strategies and processes to our customers' needs by utilizing the latest information systems and advanced technologies.SummaryThe Quality Control Inspector will audit the quality of GLOVIS services including, but not limited to, underbody coat applications, vehicle processing operations, PIO parts installations, load line processes, export processes, body shop repairs, and rail loading. ResponsibilitiesPerform new vehicle auditsMust be able to audit the quality of all GLOVIS services and have the ability to detect minor vehicle issues.Must have good color vision.Inspect cars using GPQMS Audit App, specialized camera, and/or check sheets.Properly document results of the inspection and take pictures of non-conforming items.Must be truthful when recording results of inspections.Alert Supervisor/Manager of quality concerns immediately.Provide feedback to resolve compliance issues.Audit employee compliance with standardized processes, procedures, bulletins, and work instructionsAssist with creating and monitoring corrective actions and countermeasuresProvide input on how to correct known issues within various departmentsAlert Supervisor/Manager of quality concerns that are found during inspection process immediately.Notify Supervisor/Manager if units flagged for defects are not repaired in a timely manner.Assist with the development of audit strategiesAssist with training of new staff on quality inspections.Assist with development and implementation of audit strategies, audit related policies and procedures, and assessment schedulesThis position is required to fill in where needed, including, but not limited to, all Tier 1 & 2 positionsOther duties as assigned.QualificationsAbility to adapt to process change and ISO standardsAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to record and verify numbers 17 characters in lengthComputer literacy with experience in Bluetooth/ RF technology and logistics software preferredEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma/G.E.DMust hold a valid state-issued driver's license without restrictions1 year Quality Inspection preferredPhysical RequirementsDriveWalkWorking at heights Approx. 20ftLift up to 25lbsCarry up to 25lbsPush/pullBend/stoopKneelSquat/crouchStandReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.Working and Environmental ConditionsThis position works in a plant manufacturing/warehouse setting.Exposure to loud noises from vehicles and heavy machineryExposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditionsExposure to chemicals/fumesThe information contained herein is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities of the job, nor is it intended to be an all-inclusive list of skills and abilities required to do the job.
