Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties and/or skills required. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinates work assignments and/or efforts to ensure timeliness, thoroughness, and compliance to deadlines or reporting requirements; relays management's instructions and requirements to OFH staff; and serves as liaison between the Director and staff;
  • Provides a comprehensive range of administrative support for the coordination of critical office functions such as correspondence and records control, special projects, OFH program status reports, staff meetings and/or conferences, the development of various informational materials and the dissemination of program -information;
  • Monitors and evaluates administrative operations and special activities for efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with policies and procedures;
  • Prepares correspondence, status reports, and keeps the Director informed of the progress of various activities;
  • Reviews documentation and request prior to hearings in an attempt to resolve issues prior to hearings;
  • Prepare and host Virtual Hearings via WebEx/Teams on a weekly basis or whenever necessary;
  • Participates in the development of OFH program brochures; translates documents as assigned; disseminates written information to DCHA departments, targeted public housing developments, and/or public and private agencies when required;
  • Identifies administrative needs of OFH and develops appropriate solutions and/or recommendations;
  • Implements and maintains a manual and/or automated administrative filing system as necessary;
  • Update the LIPH/PMO hearing database following date guidelines provided by DCHA regulations and updating Property Management with deadlines;
  • Convert information into Voyager/Yardi from previous static databases on Shared drives;
  • Reviews, coordinates, and schedules requests for the Director's attendance at meetings, public engagements, interviews, out-of-town, etc.;

  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree and at least (4) four years' experience in a customer service or administrative capacity; or other equivalent combination of education and experience which meet the minimum qualifications requirement may be substituted.
