The Membership Director is responsible for recruiting and retaining members of the Northeast Florida Builders Association. They are responsible for the marketing and sales of Membership services, the promotion of association benefits and events and the implementation of membership recruitment and retention programs. The Membership Director manages all member activity in support of recruitment and retention, develops programs and processes, and leads the volunteer Membership Committee with the Membership Chairperson. The Membership Director also acts as the Staff Liaison for the Associates Council. CRITICAL JOB ELEMENTS: Member Recruitment & Retention Primary responsibility for the recruitment and retention of NEFBA Members. Manage Membership software. Maintain up to date database of membership information. Provide timely reports to FHBA/NAHB on new members. Respond in a timely manner to membership requests and renewal questions. Target new areas for membership growth, develop prospect lists and recruit new members for the association. Manage Membership Invoicing and log membership payments. Organize membership drives and recruitment/retention activities. Create an ongoing membership marketing campaign. Develop and implement strategies to retain current members and recruit new members, utilizing multi-channel approaches including email, direct mail, telemarketing, space ads, and social media. Organize and conduct new member orientations. Develop promotional literature, brochures, applications, etc. for membership recruitment. Research best practices from other HBAs and membership associations for ideas to implement at NEFBA. Manage membership directory. Performance Measurables Member Recruitment Levels Member Retention Percentage Member Database/Directory Accuracy Membership Drive Results Manage Membership Committee Oversee the Membership Committee and coordinate with the Membership Chairman as staff liaison. Host Monthly Membership Committee Meeting. Identify and train volunteer membership recruiters to serve on Membership committee. Track and develop monthly membership progress reports and statistics for the National Association of Home Builders, NEFBA Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Councils, and other committees as appropriate. Coordinate and develop recognition programs for volunteer recruiters. Manage the NAHB Spike Program, and the association’s member-to-member recruitment program. Performance Measurables Membership Committee Engagement and Satisfaction Membership Report Quality Oversee Pinnacle Builder Program Recruit Pinnacle Builders to program. Conduct Yearly audit of members. Plan and Host Pinnacle Builder weekend. Performance Measurables Pinnacle Builder Recruitment and retention numbers Pinnacle Builder Satisfaction with Program Manage Associates Council Oversee the Associates Council and coordinate with the Council Chairman as staff liaison. Host Monthly Board meetings. Plan and host quarterly Council Socials. Plan and host quarterly builder networking opportunities including Meet the Builder, Trade Expo, and Speed Networking events. Performance Measurables Committee member engagement Event Income
