Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for an EHS Coordinator based out of Indianapolis to be responsible for managing the Environmental Health and Safety of the facility.

What you'll do:

  • Employee onboarding/orientation.
  • Safety administrative data collection.
  • Regularly conduct observation walks to ensure safety compliance is met daily.
  • Enter incident/environmental data into Enablon.
  • Organize onsite safety committees.
What you'll bring:
  • High School Diploma is required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university highly desired.
  • Minimum of one year experience working in EHS, compliance or direct field safety
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, strong time management skills and perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment with vendors, outside sub-contractors and inhouse installation teams.
  • OSHA-30 required.
Within 3 months, you'll:
  • Complete your Atkore immersion program.
  • Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore's strategy.
  • Understand Atkore's EHS Enablon system.
  • Gain an understanding of the training materials and procedures for facilities.
Within 6-months, you'll:
  • Establish operating rhythm for facilities.
  • Partner with HR to investigate and provide corrective measures for on-the-job accidents and injuries.
  • Have strong onsite presence/working relationship with construction teams.
Within 12-months, you'll:
  • Create and update Enablon reports, including environmental metrics in operating rhythm.
  • Scope and process fully established for employee onboarding, weekly walks and inspections.
  • Be able to resolve any issues quickly and safely.
