Fixed Assets Accounting Manager GrubMarket is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Asset Manager to join their accounting department based in South San Francisco. As the Asset Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing company-wide fixed assets, including vehicle leases, building leases, and other related financial activities. In addition you will be responsible for starting a sourcing / procurement function to drive cost effectiveness throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in fixed assets accounting.

Responsibilities

: Fixed Assets Management:

Take charge of accounting for the company's fixed assets, including acquisition, recording, tagging, tracking, construction in progress monitoring, transfers, disposal, write-off, and cost adjustment processes. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Ensure monthly that all fixed asset sub ledgers accounts reconcile to general ledger and all construction in progress are properly reviewed and documented. Conduct periodic fixed asset physical inventory. Investigate the potential obsolescence and impairment reviews of fixed assets. Lease Management:

Oversee the accounting, reconciliation, and reporting of vehicle leases and building leases. Ensure accurate lease accounting, maintain lease schedules, track lease payments, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve any lease-related issues. Sourcing / Procurement:

Develop the procurement function to drive cost savings and efficiencies throughout the organization. Be an advocate for the procurement function and drive the implementation across the organization. Work with management to develop company wide procurement strategies, priorities, plans, and business requirements to meet operational and strategic needs. Financial Reporting:

Prepare timely and accurate financial reports related to fixed assets, including depreciation schedules, impairment analysis, and capital expenditure reports. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other required disclosures related to fixed assets. Compliance and Audit:

Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with audit requirements and assist in the completion of audits related to fixed assets. Respond to audit findings, implement corrective actions, and monitor their effectiveness. Policy and Process Development:

Develop and maintain robust fixed assets and procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Continuously review and improve processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. System Utilization:

Utilize NetSuite or similar tools effectively to manage fixed assets and streamline related accounting processes. Provide guidance and training to team members on software functionalities and best practices. Cross-functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with various subsidiaries and departments, including finance, operations, and legal, to ensure accurate and up-to-date fixed assets information is maintained. Work closely with stakeholders to gather necessary data and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Research and Analysis:

Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes related to fixed assets accounting. Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings. This role necessitates complete

on-site

work, and regular attendance at the office is mandatory.

Qualifications

: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed assets accounting, preferably within the technology and / or food industry. Strong knowledge of NetSuite. Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant accounting standards (e.g., ASC 842 for leases). Experience with lease accounting and working knowledge of lease accounting software is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data and draw accurate conclusions. Proficient in financial reporting and the ability to prepare comprehensive reports and presentations. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Proven ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities. High ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Compensation

:

$100k - $180k salary + bonus + equity
