Job Responsibilities Examines and may delay dangerous goods shipments if the packaging does not meet IATA regulations. If documentation is inadequate or incorrect, may return shipment to sender for repackaging. Ensures all special customer requirements and needs are met. Monitors all customer communications and responds when necessary. Recommends the best method of transport (rail, air, or ocean). Solves problems with shipments (e.g., canceled bookings, airline delays, lack of space on the carrier, and damaged freight). Prepares miscellaneous reports (e.g., profit report, cargo damage report, and ISO). Takes initiative in developing new methods to increase business. Ensures compliance with all regulations. Supervises enforcement of TSA (IACSSP, CCSP), FAA, C-TPAT security measures, and DOT requirements. Prepares for a rate quote, arranges a booking, and pickup. Provides booking information and on-hand report to clients. Oversees documentation error prevention, pre-alerts, and accurate AES filing. Coordinates the consolidations or co-loadings for better profitability. Obtains better rates from carriers and trucking. Checks surcharges and GRI. Reviews customer contracts and rates. Verifies invoices and accounts payable and receivable. Coordinates and ensures timely posting of invoices. Prepares monthly ISO report; sends out surveys and service evaluations. Coordinates preparation of inventory and on-hand reports. Reviews customer contracts and rates. Coordinates warehouse operations such as: a. Shrink-wrapping, boxing, and labeling products for shipping. b. Staging finished products for loading. c. Loading finished products onto a truck. d. Unloading products and materials from the truck. e. Moving materials to warehouse storage. f. Weighing and measuring cargo. g. Responsible for quality control; no damaged product is to be sent out. h. Operating forklift and pallet jack. i. Completing daily logs. j. Performing maintenance checks on forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Skills Required Basic English reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of office processes, procedures, and technology; experience in supervising team activities. Ability to read and interpret accounting and financial reports. Three to five years of office experience, including supervisory responsibility. Excellent communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
