Job Description
Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager with strong construction experience to support their Development Team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in project accounting who is ready to step into a managerial role and contribute to a project that will have a lasting positive impact on Philadelphia.

Under the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Manager will handle day-to-day accounting tasks for the Development Team, including managing accounts receivable/payable, budgets, pay applications, draw requests, and invoice processing. Candidates should have at least five years of experience, ideally in industrial or commercial real estate development or construction. This hands-on role requires collaboration with various departments, independent work, multitasking, problem-solving, and adherence to month-end deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cash reconciliations and journal entry preparation.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly working papers and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Code Pcard transactions and gather support documents.
  • Manage tenant billing and cash receipts.
  • Review and post payable invoices with supporting lien waivers.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports and projects.
  • Monitor utility accounts and liaise with vendors.
  • Assist with audits and tax compliance.
  • Drive process improvement and maintain high performance standards.


Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance REQUIRED.

This position is 100% onsite. Candidates local to the Greater Philadelphia area only. Must be authorized the work lawfully in the United States.
