Job DescriptionASRC Federal System Solutions supports the FAA NAS ESS (Federal Aviation Administration National Airspace System Engineering Support Services) contract. Join our growing team as an Engineer {Computer/Electrical/Electronics) in support of the FAA's Air/Ground Communication Engineering Team.Responsibilities:Debug and conduct testing on complex systems, including both hardware and software.Troubleshoot equipment failures, conduct testing of equipment and services.Generate documentation for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment and services.Review and provide feedback on program-related documents.Provide engineering consultations, investigations and documentation of findings (i.e.-white papers, engineering study reports)Develop briefings and presentations.Create HDR/PTR/DOC data (Hardware Discrepancy Report/Program Trouble Report/Documentation update)Research, design, development, testing, evaluation and maintenance of integrated computer hardware and software systems in a highly secure industrial control system environment.Provide support utilizing languages such as LabVIEW, C, C++, Python and shell script.Flexibility between hardware and software projects Prepare documents, give presentations, or briefings as needed.Complete deliverables in a timely mannerAbility to learn, adapt, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow technical documents and provide redlines.Available to travel as needed. Participate in and contribute to the existing mentoring program.RequirementsUS Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years.Engineering and software development skills.Proficiency in programming languages and scripts used in model and tool development (LabVIEW, C, C++, Python)Experience with PowerShell, Visual Basic, and/or Batch scripting.Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) and Electromagnetic Field (EMF) principles.Experience with use of source control such as Git.Ability to debug and conduct testing on complex systems, including both hardware and software.Experience with networking protocols and technologies including TCP, UDP, DHCP, SNMP, and VoIP.Experience with lab machinery, lab equipment, and soldering.Experience with signal generators, oscilloscopes, and test equipment.Solid background knowledge and skills in Computer/Electrical/Electronics Engineering disciplineExperience working in a team environment.Good written and spoken communication skills including developing technical documentation.Ability to pass an FAA background investigation.Education/Experience:Bachelor of Science from an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited program in Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering.Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving experienceExperience with PowerShell, Visual Basic, and/or Batch scripting.Experience with use of source control such as Git.Experience with networking protocols and technologies including TCP, UDP, DHCP, SNMP, and VoIP.Experience with lab machinery, lab equipment, and soldering.Experience with signal generators, oscilloscopes, and test equipment.Experience working in a team environment.EEO StatementASRC Federal and its Subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
