The program requires a candidate that can support a broad range of fast paced, quick reaction program requirements. The candidate will primarily provide electrical systems commissioning and energy related services for all phases of new construction projects as well as retro-commissioning, energy auditing, energy modeling and monitoring-based commissioning of existing facilities to support the energy and sustainability goals of each client and project. Electrical engineer will work with Mechanical engineering and software controls to plan, draw, and implement the installation and recap of IT infrastructures.Candidate's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:Responsible for multiple electrical systems, both CONUS and OCONUS, to include analysis and reporting of electrical data and metricsMaintain documentation pertaining to the various projects, design drawings, technical reports, and engineering activitiesRequired Skills:The ability to analysis a site's monitoring system data and to integrate required design development, site expansion capabilities, or to determine inefficienciesAbility to calculate and develop power requirements for either new or existing facilitiesIn-depth knowledge of electrical equipment to include but not limited to; Medium/Low Voltage Unit Substations, Uninterruptable Power Systems (UPS), Generators, Automatic Transfer SwitchesDevelop Standard Operating Procedures and Sequence of Operations for electrical and control systemsDevelop and execute preventative and/or predictive maintenance plans for mission critical equipmentAbility to interpret and design electrical one-line and control wiring diagramsDiagnose and troubleshoot electrical equipment to resolve issues or improve efficienciesUnderstanding of industry standard data center best practices and how to implement themCurrent TS/SCI with polygraphDesired Skills:Knowledgeable in mechanical cooling systems pertaining to Data Center configurationsUnderstanding of Building Monitoring SystemsUnderstanding of Computer aided design software such as AutoCADEngineer-in-training (EIT) certificationRequired Education (including Major):Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited College or University in Electrical Engineering or other STEM related field with a minimum of 5 years' experience.Previously part of a leading Fortune 100 company and headquartered in Dulles, VA; Nightwing became independent in 2024 but continues to support the nation's most mission impactful initiatives.When we formed Nightwing, we brought a deep set of credentials and an unfaltering commitment to the mission. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
