Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Running project meetings
Attend site visits and meetings as needed
Understanding of key performance indexes to check on project health
Reviewing contracts, invoicing, collection
Ability to manage younger staff as needed
Essential Skills and Experience:
Minimum 5 years design experience including coordination and managing multi disciplines and the preparation of complete design package as a deliverable.
5 years + of civil engineering experience, including grading and drainage plans, civil-site utility plans, storm, and sanitary sewer design
Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of sewer systems
Technical QA/QC, Report Writing
5 years client facing and management experience
Running project meetings
Should be able to attend site visits and meetings as needed
Understanding of key performance indexes to check on project health
Reviewing contracts, invoicing, collection
Understanding of scope creep , budget changes etc.
Computer literate (Microsoft-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, ArcGIS))
Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and decision-making capabilities
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills both oral and written
Eagerness to learn and possess the ability to take direction are key
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to manage younger staff as needed
Project experience with NYCDEP is preferred
Affiliation and active participation in any Professional Organization e.g. NYWEA/NJWEA, ASCE, AWWA
