Position Overview

A leading firm in land development is seeking a skilled Project Civil Engineer to enhance its operations in Central Florida.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, design, and permitting processes for civil engineering and infrastructure projects, ensuring effective client communication;
  • Design and manage site layouts, grading, drainage systems, and erosion control measures from initial concept to final execution;
  • Establish and nurture relationships with new and existing clients to foster business growth;
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to budgets and timelines while minimizing financial discrepancies;
  • Prepare and review technical reports, including feasibility studies and stormwater management documentation;
  • Provide specialized knowledge in hydrologic and hydraulic design, ensuring compliance with water quality standards;
  • Collaborate with leadership to formulate strategic growth initiatives and optimize staff engagement;
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering;
  • Current Professional Engineer license;
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in site and civil land development;
  • Familiarity with local land use regulations and processes;
  • Proven ability in client development and management;
  • Experience in comprehensive site design including grading and drainage;
  • Demonstrated capability in managing projects from conception through to construction documentation;
  • Self-motivated with leadership skills to mentor and guide team members;
  • Ability to collaborate effectively on multidisciplinary projects;
  • Expertise in stormwater management and related design processes;
  • Strong skills in technical writing and proposal development;
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D software;
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with clients and regulatory bodies;
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills;
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Possession of reliable transportation for client engagements and site visits.
