Job Title: Controls Design Engineer

Job Description

This local custom machine builder is looking to add a Controls Design Engineer to their team. This role involves designing control systems using AutoCAD Electrical and/or Eplan, focusing on hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls.

You will be integral to a specialized group recently formed to enhance customer-specific work.

This role offers a structured orientation and gradual involvement in projects, leading to independent handling of larger projects

+ Flexible work schedule

+ Normal hours are 6am-4pm, as they try to work 4 10's, sometimes they work 5 8's

+ Continuous training and education in this role

+ Travel: Typically zero

+ Could be some day travel

Average Day/Week-

+ After becoming oriented to the basics, they will start assisting another engineer on projects to get their feet wet and see things first hand

+ They will work them into smaller projects and working way up to larger ones from there

+ hey fluctuate between 4 10's and 5 8's- right now they are around 40 hours per week but can see up to 50-55 if they want

+ There is opportunity for OT

Must Have Qualifications

+ 2-3 years work experience in electrical design with AutoCAD Electrical or Eplan - IDEALLY both

+ Process oriented and organized

Work Environment

Fun, collaborative working environment. Primarily involves desk work for designing and time on the floor, working with other engineers in the group to develop solutions.
