JR & Co. is looking for a full-time Roofing Superintendent to join our growing team in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They are dependable, hard-working with an extensive knowledge of roofing. The Superintendent will lead a crew through example and service to the team.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform inspections of jobs while providing accountability, visiting jobs sites daily, motivating foremen
  • Attend pre-construction meeting/pre-job walkthrough with Project Manager and/or Foreman
  • Set up job site properly to maintain OSHA safety standards and ensure worker safety and compliance
  • Schedule materials, equipment, and deliveries, using inventoried materials as much as possible
  • Assist with personnel planning and assignment of crew members to foreman and jobs
  • Proactively problem solve to avoid work impacts and reduce inefficiencies
  • Track and communicate project completion percentage to accounting for monthly billing
  • Work closely with Quality Control, Safety Management, Inspectors, and Manufacturers
  • Conduct/participate in weekly project meetings for scheduling, discussions, and issue resolution and submitting weekly reports
  • Complete projects on time and in the most cost-efficient way (under budget desirable)
  • Perform final quality inspection walk-through prior to crew demobilization
Education, Skills and Experience:
  • 5-10 years in construction and commercial roofing industry
  • 2 years of leadership/team management experience
  • OSHA 30 Hour Training (Or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment)
  • Certification for rigging, signaling, and operating equipment preferred
  • Ability to read and understand architectural plans, shop drawings and specifications
  • Time Managementgreat time management; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
  • Primarily outdoor environments in all types of weather (approximately 90% fieldwork) with minimal indoor office work (approximately 10%)
  • Ability to perform elevated work (work on rooftops, heights)
  • Frequently lift and carry 50lbs or greater
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, walking
  • Overtime and weekend work
