Responsibilities:

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Drive leadership performance improvement by supporting the development and training of leaders for Constellation Generation. Demonstrates mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge to the implementation of the nuclear leadership training course, first line supervisor program, management and director training programs and development of Corporate Functional Area Managers (CFAMs). Acts as the leadership training subject matter expert for the fleet.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of nuclear fleet leadership training in accordance with the Constellation TSO model, and fleet procedures,. Coaches and mentors nuclear executives and senior leaders to facilitate leadership training.
  • Facilitates leadership training for the nuclear supervisory development program (SOP) and the nuclear manager/director training program.
  • Drives station and leadership performance improvement through training. Provides support and coordination for fleet leadership training programs including the coordination of fleet nuclear leadership courses and schedules, and the coordination of logistics, student communications, executive and senior leader facilitator communications and support for the sharing of fleet training products.
  • Acts or assists as a change agent for fleet governance documents and procedures for the supervisor and manager director training programs. Assists in the creation of leadership job familiarization guides and qualification documents. Maintains and tracks completion, as appropriate. Assists in the performance analysis of leadership and recommends training solutions when appropriate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four year degree in education/training, organizational development, organizational psychology, instructional design, business or technical field and a minimum five years of training/education experience OR
  • Associates degree in in education/training, organizational development, organizational psychology, instructional design, or business and a minimum of seven years of training/education experience OR
  • In lieu of degree, minimum nine years of training/education experience.
  • Organizational skills including the ability to coordinate programs across a large organization

Qualifications:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience coordinating or leading a training program
  • Masters degree in education/training, organizational development, organizational psychology, instructional design, or business
  • 3 years supervisory experience
  • Experience designing computer based training modules and knowledge of e-learning software applications such as Articulate
  • Expert level class facilitation skills
  • Experience working in teams from multiple organizations in accomplishing diverse tasks and assignments
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Effective in working with regulatory agencies concerning training related issues
  • Knowledge of and experience with the systematic approach to training (SAT)
  • Knowledge of educational technology and software applications used in the design and delivery of instruction, such as Microsoft Power Point, Articulate, Blackboard etc.
  • Ability to lead project teams.
  • Ability to lead by influence.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry regulations (INPO & NRC) governing training requirements for nuclear power plants.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry human performance error reduction tools and human performance programs.
