This is a large responsibility because the majority of optical fabrication processes rely on stable equipment for proper execution. An Equipment Engineer must maximize machine availability using the following skill sets:Proper equipment selection based on reliability and maintainabilityCreating preventative maintenance plans and supporting their executionDefining critical spares for quick response to unplanned downtimeDefining standard maintenance procedures to maximize maintenance effectivenessPlan strategic upgrades and identifying end of life equipmentHands on support of equipment modifications and upgradesAssisting the Maintenance Teams with advanced troubleshootingJob DescriptionThis experienced level engineering position will support vacuum coating and etch processes by working closely with other process engineers, technicians, machine operators, product development teams, and safety teams.
