Overview:
The Senior Process Engineer plays a crucial role in enhancing manufacturing operations by providing expert engineering support for process equipment. This position involves collaboration with various teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to identify and implement engineering improvements or upgrades to manufacturing systems, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
- Drive process excellence by documenting and supporting Lean initiatives aimed at reducing costs and enhancing safety and quality.
- Accountable for verification deliverables on significant capital projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure all systems operate efficiently and effectively.
- Oversee verification deliverables from external verification teams, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Develop comprehensive commissioning and testing plans for new equipment and modifications.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all phases of commissioning, validation, and maintenance activities.
- Act as a key liaison between engineering and manufacturing teams throughout project lifecycles.
- Monitor system performance, identifying risks and implementing strategies for risk mitigation.
- Provide technical problem-solving support to minimize production downtime, leading root cause analyses as necessary.
- Support the introduction of new technologies by conducting engineering assessments and facilitating necessary modifications.
- Maintain compliance with environmental health and safety regulations throughout all operations.
- Offer technical guidance and support to manufacturing and maintenance teams as needed.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of performance metrics.
- Flexibility to accommodate operational needs, including potential after-hours support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Experience in regulated environments and familiarity with GMP quality systems.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
