About the job Patient Care Tech - PCT - Medicine "You Belong Here.Patient Care Tech PCT - MedicineDay - Casual / On CallAs a PCT on Nelson 8 you will be a member of healthcare team working on an acute medical and telemetry unit with 23 inpatient beds focused on patients with respiratory, cardiac and heart failure illness, liver and renal disease, substance abuse and mental status changes, along with a variety of other diagnoses. Nelson 8 is committed to providing a comforting and encouraging environment to all who arrive onto this unit. We embrace diversity while providing holistic care for patients and each other with respect, integrity and compassion.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredActive Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.1 year of acute care (hospital) tech experience within the most recent 2 years is required (EMT or CRT experience may be considered)BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.Important Notices:Effective January 1st 2022, you must be fully vaccinated with an FDA COVID-19 vaccination and provide proof of your vaccination status as part of your occupational health screening. Exceptions to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement may be granted to individuals for religious beliefs or medical reasons by following the proper protocols.
