Patient Registration Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Engages with patient, referral source, sales, pharmacy and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery
  • Creates, communicates and obtains all required documentation for new referrals
  • Secures patient's upfront payment including assisting patients to find avenues for payment where needed (identifies opportunities and directs patients to financial assistance program)
  • Supports the ongoing activities needed to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management (follow-up on paperwork where missing)
  • Assist the Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed

Patient Registration Coordinator Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry is preferred
  • Ability to work well independently and also contribute to the overall success of the team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and be flexible to adapt to change
