This role requires a unique blend of project management skills and client relationship management expertise to effectively oversee digital projects from conception to completion while ensuring client satisfaction and project success. This is a direct hire opportunity in Chicago, operating on a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days per week in office. Our client is only considering current Chicago residents at this time.

Account Director Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution and delivery of digital projects, including website development, digital campaigns, social media initiatives and other digital marketing efforts
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal teams
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines and budgets to ensure successful project execution
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships
  • Understand clients' business objectives, challenges and expectations to effectively translate them into actionable project requirements
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including creative, design, development and marketing teams, to ensure seamless project execution


Account Director Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or related field
  • 2+ years experience in an account supervisor role within an advertising agency or marketing firm OR 1+ years experience as an account director
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, strategies and best practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and client-facing skills with the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in project management tools/software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Jira) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
